The centrepiece is undoubtedly Blue Canyon Country Club — home to two championship 18-hole courses that have hosted the Johnnie Walker Classic and numerous Asian Tour events. Yes — caddies are standard practice at virtually all Thai golf courses and are mandatory at most. They carry your bag, advise on lines and yardages, and are a core part of the Thai golf experience. Caddie fees are typically ฿300–฿500 per round (around £7–£12), paid separately to green fees.
The dry season (November to April) generally offers the best conditions for golf in Phuket, with lower humidity and minimal rain. The shoulder months of October and May can also be excellent. Some courses offer lower green fees during the wetter summer months.
Most courses require a collared shirt and tailored shorts or trousers. Denim, sleeveless shirts, and cargo shorts are typically not permitted. Smart casual attire is the standard — when in doubt, err on the side of smarter.
Yes, international visitors are welcome at the vast majority of Phuket's golf courses. Some private clubs require introduction by a member, but most courses actively cater to overseas golfers. It's advisable to book tee times in advance, especially on weekends and during peak season (December–March).
