Blue Canyon CC - Lakes is an 18-hole course (par-72, 7,129 yards) in Thalang, Phuket. It's about 2 km from Phuket Airport (HKT), as the crow flies. It was designed by Yoshikazu Kato and opened in 1999. Nearby courses to pair it with include Blue Canyon CC - Canyon and Laguna Golf Phuket.
The course was built on an old open-cast tin mine, and the layout keeps the site's existing landforms and wildlife habitat. Water comes into play on every hole bar one.
The 18th is a par 4 to a small green set between canyon walls. Asian Golf Monthly named it the best par 4 in Asia in 2003.
From the black tees it plays 7,129 yards (course rating 74, slope 128). There are four sets of tees, down to 5,366 yards from the reds. Fairways are Zoysia grass and the greens TifEagle Bermuda.
Lakes shares its clubhouse with the Canyon Course: pool, gym, spa, pro shop, the Golfers' Terrace restaurant and rooms in the clubhouse. The practice ground has 15 covered bays and 45 real-turf bays, a short-game area and two putting greens.
The quieter of Blue Canyon's two courses, and this winter the cheaper one: ฿3,900 all-in against ฿5,900 for the Canyon. With water on almost every hole, bring spare balls. Ten minutes from the airport, it works well as an arrival-day or last-day round.

Yes. They are two separate 18-hole courses at Blue Canyon Country Club, both designed by Yoshikazu Kato, sharing one clubhouse. The Canyon Course opened in 1991 and hosted the Johnnie Walker Classic; the Lakes Course opened in 1999 and has water on 17 holes.
