Play three rounds across Bangkok's 60+ courses on a long weekend.
Bangkok and the greater metropolitan area offer over 60 golf courses within 60km of the city. With the right plan, you can play three rounds across three very different courses on a long weekend — and still have time to see the city.
Start with one of Bangkok's marquee courses. Thai Country Club, Amata Spring, or Nikanti Golf Club are among the region's finest layouts. Book the earliest available tee time (7am is ideal) to beat the heat. Take a GrabCar from your hotel — most Sukhumvit-area hotels are 30–45 minutes from these courses.
Afternoon: recover and explore Bangkok — temples, street food, and Chatuchak market if it's a weekend.
Bangkok's mid-tier courses (Lotus Valley, Krungthep Kreetha, Thana City) are excellent value and less busy than the top-tier clubs. Many have excellent facilities and challenging designs. Tee off at 7:30–8am for the coolest conditions.
Afternoon: day trip to the floating markets or Ayutthaya — several golf courses cluster around the historic city.
If you're departing from Suvarnabhumi Airport, play a morning round at one of the courses adjacent to the airport. Suvarnabhumi Golf and Country Club is literally next to the terminal, or Summit Windmill is 15 minutes away and one of the best layouts in the region. Check out of your hotel, play, and head straight to departures.
Current highest-rated courses in the Bangkok region: The Royal Golf and Country Club, Thana City Golf and Sports Club, Royal Hills Golf, Alpine Golf & Sports Club.

The Bangkok metropolitan area has over 60 golf courses within a 60km radius. The city itself has no courses — all are in the surrounding suburbs and satellite towns.
Most courses are 30–60 minutes from central Bangkok by car. Traffic is the key variable — early morning departures (before 6:30am) can halve your travel time compared to mid-morning.
Bangkok offers the widest range of price points in Thailand. Budget courses start at ฿1,500–฿2,000 (≈ £34–£45), mid-range courses ฿2,500–฿4,000 (≈ £57–£91), and premium clubs ฿4,500–฿6,000+ (≈ £102–£136). All prices exclude caddie fees.
