Two weeks is the length most long-haul golf trips should be and rarely are. It gives you time for two bases, eight rounds and enough days off that you come home rested rather than wrecked.
This is a worked fortnight — where to go, which order, what it costs, and where the rest days fall. Adjust the courses to taste; the shape is the part worth copying.
Eight rounds in fourteen nights. Not fourteen, not four. That is roughly every other day, which is what most golfers actually enjoy in 32°C heat, and it leaves six clear days for everything else.
Two bases, seven nights each, one transfer day between. One base gets stale over a fortnight and you exhaust the good courses inside an hour. Three bases means you spend three days of the holiday in transit.
34 courses, median green fee ฿2,500. The densest concentration of golf in Thailand and a two-hour transfer from Bangkok airport, so you can play the day after you land.
Pattaya to Hua Hin is the ferry across the gulf from Bang Saray or Jomtien — about two hours and far better than the five-hour drive back around through Bangkok. Book ahead in high season.
If you would rather head north, Pattaya to Chiang Mai is a flight from Bangkok and a different holiday entirely — cooler, cheaper golf at a median of ฿1,900, and the best non-golf days in the country.
11 courses, median ฿1,950, and a quieter town than Pattaya. This is the half of the trip where the golf gets good and the evenings get civilised.

Eight is the number most golfers are happy with — roughly every other day. Playing daily in 32°C heat with a caddie and a five-hour round wears people down by the second week, and it leaves no time for anything else.
No, but one base for two weeks usually is. Split the fortnight between two bases with a transfer day in the middle — Pattaya and Hua Hin work well together because the ferry across the gulf takes about two hours.
