Thai green fees are famously cheap. The total bill is a different question — and the gap between the two is where first-time visitors get caught out. This page itemises every cost in a Thailand golf trip using the published rates we hold for the courses in our directory, alongside current operator pricing.

Not optional and not included. Black Mountain publishes ฿350, Chiangmai Highlands ฿400, Siam Country Club ฿500.
This is the caddie's actual income. Siam Country Club states gratuities "generally start at THB 500"; Chiangmai Highlands suggests "400 THB and upwards". Pay cash, directly, after the round. Every operator package we examined excludes it — on a seven-round trip that is around ฿2,800 you must budget separately.
Siam Country Club charges ฿1,000, Black Mountain ฿750, Phoenix Gold ฿700. The catch: at several premium clubs carts are mandatory at one per golfer, driven by the caddie. Two golfers expecting to share pay twice.
Black Mountain rents sets at ฿1,500, Siam Country Club at ฿2,500 (plus ฿800 for shoes). Often cheaper than airline sports-equipment fees on a short trip.
Thailand's all-category average daily rate ran at ฿1,819 through 2025 according to the Krungsri Industry Outlook, but four-star city hotels sit well above it — roughly ฿2,200–5,000 in Bangkok depending on district and dates. Phuket four-stars ran ฿6,000–7,000 in high season against ฿2,500–3,000 off-season on 2025 figures. Expect 30–50% discounts in the May–October green season, and premiums of 50–100% on the islands over Christmas and New Year.
Hotel to course and back, for two to four golfers with clubs, typically runs ฿1,400–2,900 per trip depending on region. Airport transfers: about ฿300–500 by metered taxi into central Bangkok, ฿130 upwards on the direct coach to Pattaya, ฿342 upwards to Hua Hin.

Australian operators price comparable land-only trips at roughly A$1,545 for eight days in Hua Hin with five rounds, A$1,685 for a week in Bangkok with five rounds, and A$2,245 for ten nights in Pattaya with seven rounds.
Travelling alone costs you. Single supplements on those packages run from 11% to 41% — the worst case adds ฿14,000 to a seven-night Hua Hin trip. Golf in Thailand is priced for pairs.
Worth knowing in the other direction: agent rates sometimes beat the club's own desk. Siam Country Club's Old Course publishes ฿6,500 weekday green fee only, while agent packages for the same course have appeared around ฿6,100 including caddie and cart.

Yes, substantially. Many courses publish separate low and high season rates, and the gap can be 30–50% at resort courses. Hotels drop by a similar margin outside November to March. The trade-off is heat and afternoon rain.
฿400–500 per round is correct and respectable, paid in cash directly to your caddie at the end of the round. At premium clubs, or for exceptional service, ฿600–1,000 is common. Siam Country Club's own guidance says gratuities generally start at ฿500.
