September is the wettest month in most of Thailand and the one where a round genuinely can get washed out. It is also the cheapest week-for-week trip you will find, with the quietest courses of the year. If you are flexible about which day you play, the value is unmatched.

Where not to go this month: Phuket. The Andaman coast takes the worst of the southwest monsoon and is measurably wetter than the gulf side at this time of year.
Whatever the month, the same rules apply in Thailand: tee off early, drink more than you think you need, and take a cart unless you have a good reason not to. A caddie is compulsory at almost every course and will carry, read greens and keep you moving — budget ฿400 plus a tip.
In September specifically, rain is the variable, and it usually arrives in the afternoon rather than the morning, so early tee times mostly play through.
