Bangkok Riverdale Golf Club. Positive attributes are challenging holes, decent conditions, and relatively close to city centre. On the downsides, we took 5h 45 min to complete 18 holes due to the slow play and crowded condition. The flight behind hit a ball close to our flight mate without coming forward to apologise, until we informed the marshalls. For 5,300 baht, not worth a second trip.
Strong Layout Undermined by Very Poor Pace Control We played Riverdale as a four-ball visiting from the UK during our Bangkok golf holiday. The course itself does live up to its reputation as a technical layout. There are elevation changes, demanding approach shots and holes that require proper course management. There's nothing wrong with the luxurious facilities and well-equipped green. The caddies are also well-mannered and follow the rules, so you can play without stress. There are some holes that are a little difficult, but I think this is one of the few golf courses where you can play comfortably. I definitely want to go there several times a year. The restaurant has a wide variety of menus and the food is delicious.
