The rains arrive, and with them the lowest prices outside September. Rain in May is typically a heavy afternoon downpour rather than all-day drizzle, so a morning round usually goes ahead untouched. Courses are green, quiet, and often published at reduced seasonal rates.

Whatever the month, the same rules apply in Thailand: tee off early, drink more than you think you need, and take a cart unless you have a good reason not to. A caddie is compulsory at almost every course and will carry, read greens and keep you moving — budget ฿400 plus a tip.
In May specifically, the heat is the limiting factor rather than the rain — an 11am tee time in April is a genuinely bad idea.
