If your society has never been to Thailand, Pattaya is where to start. More quality courses sit within forty-five minutes of one another here than anywhere else in the country, the clubs are used to handling groups of twenty-plus, and the transfer from Bangkok airport is a straightforward two hours in one coach.
The practical case for Pattaya is density. You can play five genuinely different courses in a week without a single long transfer, which matters enormously when you are moving a big group. Coaches are cheap, the clubs are used to society bookings, and the hotel supply runs from functional to five-star within a few streets of each other — useful when half your members want to economise and half do not.
It is also the easiest place in Thailand to arrange a shotgun start on a weekday, because several courses here have the capacity and the appetite for group business.
These are the ones we would build a society week around — a mix of the round everyone came for and the value days that keep the budget honest.

A proven shape for a five-round week, with the rest day where it does most good. Slot your order of merit across the four competitive rounds and keep the opener social.
| Day | Round | Why here |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Burapha | Thirty-six holes and a slick visitor operation — a gentle opener that gets everyone into the rhythm. |
| 3 | Khao Kheow | Twenty-seven dramatic hillside holes. Superb value and a real test. |
| 4 | Rest day | Beach at Jomtien, or the pool. On a five-round week, this is what stops day five falling apart. |
| 5 | Siam Country Club Old | The LPGA venue. Make this the order-of-merit day. |
| 6 | Laem Chabang | Twenty-seven Nicklaus holes in the hills behind the port. |
| 7 | Chee Chan | Floodlit, so it works as an afternoon round with a prize-giving after. |
Day one is arrival and day eight is the flight home. Price this exact shape on the trip cost calculator.
One enquiry. We come back with real group pricing from courses and Thailand golf specialists — green fees, tee times and hotels for the whole party. Free, no obligation.
For seven nights with five rounds, expect roughly £1,100 to £1,900 per golfer excluding flights, depending on hotel standard and how many premium courses you play. Group rates generally start at eight golfers. Remember the compulsory caddie fee and a cash tip of ฿400–฿500 per round on top.
Yes. Most Pattaya courses will quote below the published green fee from around eight golfers, and the discount improves as numbers rise. Send your dates and final numbers together — a quote for “about twelve to twenty” is always worse than a quote for eighteen.
Four or five over seven nights. Thai rounds take four and a half to five and a half hours in heat and humidity, so consecutive days are harder work than at home. Societies that book seven rounds in seven days routinely drop one — and it is usually the expensive one.
With enough golfers, yes. From around twenty-four upwards it becomes realistic on a weekday, and above thirty-two it is straightforward. Ask when you enquire rather than after you have booked, because it determines which Pattaya courses can take you.
