Local logistics in Pattaya

Transfers: about two hours from Suvarnabhumi by coach. One vehicle for the whole society is cheaper and far less hassle than minibuses, and most courses are within forty-five minutes of central Pattaya.
Big groups are normal here. Burapha (36 holes) and Khao Kheow (27) have the capacity to absorb a society without stretching the tee sheet.
Weekend pricing bites. Pattaya is a weekend destination for Bangkok golfers, so Saturday and Sunday are both dearer and busier. Keep the golf Monday to Friday.
Hotels: a base in central Pattaya or Jomtien keeps everyone within walking distance of dinner, which matters more than it sounds when you are herding twenty people.

Can we get a group rate at Pattaya courses?

Yes. Most Pattaya courses will quote below the published green fee from around eight golfers, and the discount improves as numbers rise. Send your dates and final numbers together — a quote for “about twelve to twenty” is always worse than a quote for eighteen.

How many rounds should a society play in a week in Pattaya?

Four or five over seven nights. Thai rounds take four and a half to five and a half hours in heat and humidity, so consecutive days are harder work than at home. Societies that book seven rounds in seven days routinely drop one — and it is usually the expensive one.
