Programme, not day trip. Three to four hours from Bangkok makes this a two-night minimum. Budget the coach time into the itinerary rather than the first morning's golf.
Most reliable weather of the Thai golf regions — the shortest, mildest wet season, which de-risks a date fixed months in advance.
Book Black Mountain first. It is the busiest sheet in town and everything else should be arranged around it.

Can we get a shotgun start at a Hua Hin course?

Yes, with enough players. From around sixty upwards it becomes straightforward on a weekday, and it is the only practical way to run a prize-giving and dinner afterwards. Ask at the enquiry stage, because it determines which venues can take your event.

How far ahead do we need to book?

Two to four weeks is the minimum to hold a full tee block at a well-regarded club. For a shotgun start, a fixed date, or anything between November and February, allow two to three months — more if the date is locked around a conference or a visiting board.

What format works for guests who have never played golf?
