Local logistics in Hua Hin

Transfers: three to four hours from Bangkok by coach. There is also a direct airport coach from around ฿342 a head if your society is arriving in dribs and drabs.
Weather: the shortest, mildest wet season of the Thai golf regions — the safest choice for a trip in May, June or September.
Book Black Mountain first and build the rest of the week around it. For a group in high season, that means six to nine months out.

Can we get a group rate at Hua Hin courses?

Yes. Most Hua Hin courses will quote below the published green fee from around eight golfers, and the discount improves as numbers rise. Send your dates and final numbers together — a quote for “about twelve to twenty” is always worse than a quote for eighteen.

How many rounds should a society play in a week in Hua Hin?

Four or five over seven nights. Thai rounds take four and a half to five and a half hours in heat and humidity, so consecutive days are harder work than at home. Societies that book seven rounds in seven days routinely drop one — and it is usually the expensive one.
