Couples Golf Holidays in Hua Hin

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Hua Hin is the pick when you both want the golf to be good but neither of you wants Pattaya. It is a genuine Thai beach town rather than a resort strip — the royal family have summered here for a century — with the strongest courses per baht in the country and a night market worth walking to.

Why Hua Hin works for a couple

For a couple it strikes an unusual balance. Black Mountain is regularly ranked Thailand's number one course, so a serious golfer is properly served. But the town is walkable, calm and pretty, the beach is long and quiet, and nothing requires a taxi at eleven at night.

It also has the shortest, mildest wet season of the Thai golf regions, which makes it the safest bet if you are travelling outside the November-to-February peak.

The courses to play

Chosen for a couples trip rather than a golf tour — the round worth building the week around, and the gentler ones for a casual golfer.

What to do on the days off

Where to stay

Where to base yourselves: central Hua Hin puts the night market, the beach and the restaurants within walking distance, with most courses twenty to thirty minutes away. The resorts south towards Khao Takiab are quieter and prettier but you will use taxis in the evening. Springfield and a few others have golf and a spa on site if you would rather not move at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Hua Hin good if only one of us plays golf?

Yes. Thai golf finishes early — a round starting at six or seven is done by early afternoon — so the days are still shared. Hua Hin has enough away from the course to fill the mornings, and plenty for the afternoons you spend together.

How many rounds should we book in Hua Hin?

Three or four over ten nights if one of you does not play, or four to five if you both do. Golf every other morning keeps it a holiday rather than a golf tour with a companion attached.

Can a non-golfer ride along in the cart?

At most Thai courses, yes — but nearly all charge a cart or follower fee for it, and some add a caddie charge too. Ask when you book. Plenty of partners prefer the clubhouse and the spa to five hours in the heat, so do not assume it is wanted.

What does a couples golf trip to Hua Hin cost?

For ten nights with four rounds for one golfer, roughly £1,400 to £2,600 per person excluding flights, depending on hotel standard. Green fees average ฿2,320 in low season and ฿3,249 in high season, plus a compulsory caddie around ฿450 a round and a cash tip of ฿400 to ฿500.
