Chiang Mai Golf Itinerary — 3-Day Mountain Golf Guide

Mountain golf at its finest — 3 rounds in the Chiang Mai hills.

Chiang Mai's golf scene is smaller than Bangkok or Pattaya, but offers a genuinely different experience: mountain landscapes, cooler temperatures year-round, and well-maintained courses at some of the lowest green fees in Thailand for the quality on offer.

3-day Chiang Mai golf itinerary

Day 1 — Chiang Mai Highlands Golf & Spa Resort

Start with the most scenic course in the region. Chiang Mai Highlands sits at 800m elevation, offering mountain views, cool temperatures, and one of Thailand's most visually dramatic layouts. Book the earliest available tee time for the clearest views.

Day 2 — Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai

Alpine Golf Resort is the most professionally managed course in the region and consistently ranks highly in surveys of visiting golfers. The layout is challenging, well-maintained, and the facilities are first class for the price point.

Day 3 — Gassan Legacy or Gassan Khuntan

Gassan operates two excellent courses in the Chiang Mai area. Gassan Legacy (near the city) is the more accessible option; Gassan Khuntan Golf & Resort, about 45 minutes out, is set in spectacular mountain scenery and is worth the journey if time allows.
